The student selected for May is a very responsible student who can always be counted on to see what needs to be done and then do more than his part. This student is compassionate and thoughtful. This student can be very “adult” about things but has a “little puppy” side to him as well, just a great guy. I am proud and honored to present the Student of the Month award to Mathew Shinn. |

This student is positive and a pleasure to teach. This student goes above and beyond in all her endeavors. This student knows how to make the work fun. The student selected for March is always extremely respectful and encouraging. This student is always thinking, asks great questions, does extra research and puts forth extra effort. This student exhibits a positive attitude and has a real joy in living. This student is eager to participate and was amazing in Colonial Debate. This student also works as a Teachers Assistant in Tobacco Education and his teacher would like to see him recognized for all his great work and attitude. I am proud and honored to present the Gold Country Kiwanis Student of the month award for March to Austin Petrie. |

She is a very positive, hardworking and helpful student who treats others with respect and kindness. Her friends say, “She gets along with everyone”. The Student selected for December is responsible, a hard worker and optimistic. Through his leadership, positive attitude, and amazing work ethic he lead the volleyball team to an undefeated season., while playing Setter and holding the position of Co-Captain, which is the most demanding and difficult position. During this time he also kept up with his grades and put forth extra effort. I am proud and honored to present the Gold Country Kiwanis Student of the Month award to Evan Kittle. |
